AT & T announced that the U.S. 3G network will be upgraded to HSPA7.2, the plan from the beginning of the end of this year is expected to be completed in 2011.
AT & T's 3G network currently HSPA3.6 standards, theoretical maximum downlink speed of 3.6Mb per second, and the use of technology will increase the maximum HSPA7.2 downlink speed to 7.2Mb per second.
Most cell phones do not support the current HSPA7.2, however, AT & T said that the end of the year, AT & T will support the introduction of a number of data cards and HSPA7.2 smartphone.
AT & T said the 3G network upgrade plan is to upgrade part of the overall network performance. AT & T are often criticized as competitors Verizon network stability.
Some IT professionals have speculated that with the AT & T upgrades 3G network, Apple's next-generation iPhone to support the possibility of very large HSPA7.2. Also said that despite the HSPA7.2 worth looking forward to, but can become a reality in 2011, the 4G LTE network is worth looking forward to more.
